  from ur question and concern it is obviouse that u respect others very well.. in qatar u r free to wear whatever u want.. no one wil force u to wear clothes in certain way. just feel free and enjoy ur visit

  i am from india, i've been living in doha for 5 years, and i usually wear a salwar-kameez, the same drees i wear in india. sometimes, for formal functions, i wear a sari, sometimes i just wear jeans and a top..it doesnt matter at all.
  
  the qataris are good people, they usually cover up from head to toe(as is their custom), but they dont require that you do the same.
  
  we see westerners dressed in sleeveless tops and shorts walking around the malls, and thats okay, too. (though i wonder sometimes, dont they feel the cold? its freezing inside the malls).

  Hi,
  I'm Qatari and my advice is that wearing non-revealing clothes is the best option for u no mini-skirts no shorts and stuff like that..
  
  about the job 5500 is pretty low as rental houses here start from 6500.. life is pretty expensive here 2..
  unless the company is willing to provide accomidation or ur willing to stay in a very dingy old house or even share accomidation..

  can anyone tell how much is living cost for a totally vegetarian family having two kids. And about the lifestyle, is moving with wife to shopping or somewhere else is allowed. How much money required to own a car in Qatar. anyother information which can be shared.

  Hi,I am from India have an offer from MNC with 7000QR. Company providing Bachelor furnished accomodation Transportation free, medical free, annually one month paid leave with free round trip. Is it possible to take family after one year to stay out side and how much will be the cost of living. What about the life style to stay with the family.

• Has Qatar joined the GCC in terms of giving benefits/priviledges to GCC members?

  I have recently heard that all the GCC member countries have decided to grant the same benefits to eachother's citizens. For example, public education, the right to own property, the right to open businesses, etc. Is this true? Can a Saudi put his kids in public school in Qatar, buy property, or open a business?

• **Moving to Qatar/Dress Code**

  Hello Everybody.
  
  I wonder whether anyone can advise me. I am 20 years old and i live in the UK.I am moving to Qatar in a month and i am very confused to what i can wear.
  I am in love with fashion and i love TopShop dresses and high waisted shorts etc. I know that i will have to change some of the pieces in my wardrobe so i dont offend anybody, but what can i actually wear?? I love leggings where i wear a top over but would this be classed as inappropriate as they are tight?
