Emergencies
What to do and how much help to expect
Singapore has one of the best healthcare systems in Southeast Asia. Its combination of 13 private hospitals and 10 public hospitals, which compete with one another, helps keep costs reasonable.
If an emergency does occur, government hospitals have Accident and Emergency Departments, which are open 24 hours a day. These facilities tend to be staffed with highly qualified doctors, many who have trained overseas.
The government hospitals listed below with their phone numbers will be useful if an emergency arises.
