residence permit how much does it cost?

• Hi I just have a simple question. I can't find how much a permit cost. I only know that I should have one but I can;t find anywhere the cost.

  I have just obtained a Resident Visa for my wife from the British Consulate in Saudi Arabia and it cost me GBP 525.
