check visa status

  i worked in 1 company in dubai, i file my resignatio last november 2008, my boss told me to extend up to december and we both agreed on that the january 2009 i did not go to work. i ask my boss to cancel my visa but he told me i can go back in my country without cancellation, but now i want to come again before i apply for visa i want to know did they cancel my that visa or no can u please suggest me on which website i can check my visa status or who can i solve this problem for me here in the philippines
